The RefIPro research team on May 17th 2023 received the Uganda Institutional Review Board’s approval in connection with the carrying out of the planned school trial. The trial will involve 500 school children in and around the refugee settlement Kyaka II, who will receive a mealworm-enriched school meal for a period of six months.
The IRB approval represents an important step forward in the realization of the school trial. The next step is the preparation of the application for the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology approval.
